Professional dance companies participating in this year's performance include:

• - Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago
• - The Joffrey Ballet
• - Jump Rhythm Jazz Project
• - River North Chicago Dance Company
• - Thodos Dance Chicago

Would you like for your dance company to be a part of an upcoming Dance for Life performance?

If you'd like your professional dance company to take part in this annual event, please submit a video tape or DVD of your selected work no later than March 31. Yearly, there is only one open slot to fill and each applying company will be judged by a minimum of 3 Chicago dance critics.

There are a few simple guidelines that will help you in choosing the piece to submit for consideration. They are:

• All companies must be a Not-for-Profit organization
• We are looking for JOYFUL pieces with three or MORE dancers (preferably full company works)
• Works should be no longer than ten (10) minutes
• Video submission must be of the actual dance to be considered
• Lighting design should be kept simple. (No major specials, please!)
• No youth or children's dance groups
