Through poignant personal testimonials, passionate music and powerful dancers bodies in motion, Dance for Life: The Documentary paints a rare, you-are-there portrait of the generosity and compassion of Chicago’s dance community over 20 years. The film featured the dance companies that participated in the 2010 Dance for Life benefit performance and tracks the development of the world premiere finale.
The documentary was produced by Scott Silberstein and filmed by the crew of dance and entertainment performance specialists from HMS Media. The hour-long documentary made its world television premiere on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10 p.m. on Chicago’s public television station, WTTW 11.
